Project Overview
Pride is restoring and modernizing the Paschalville Library, a neighborhood branch built with Wissahickon schist. The scope includes slate roof replacement, stained-glass skylight restoration, facade repointing, and installation of a high-efficiency HVAC and building-automation system.
Accessibility upgrades add a LULA elevator, interior ramp, and ADA restrooms. The interior is being reorganized into a light-filled reading room, flexible program suites, and a digital-media hub. Site work introduces storm-water gardens, upgraded lighting, and an outdoor "story circle." Pride coordinates more than 20 bid packages to maximize M/W/DSBE participation, tracks LEED-Silver submittals, and manages a tight urban jobsite bounded by trolley tracks.
During construction, collections and programs operate from Eastwick Library so Southwest Philadelphia residents maintain uninterrupted access to library services.
