Project Overview
This five-acre renovation covers the 11,370-square-foot fieldhouse and surrounding grounds. Building work includes a new roof, repointed masonry, energy-efficient doors and windows, LED lighting, and complete MEP, fire-protection, and security-camera systems. Interior partitions were reconfigured for flexible multipurpose rooms, an after-school tutoring lounge, and fully ADA-compliant restrooms and entrances. Legacy asbestos and lead paint were abated throughout.
Outdoors, Pride rebuilt the playground with inclusive surfacing and equipment, resurfaced basketball courts, improved ballfields with new drainage and backstops, planted trees, upgraded fencing, and added wayfinding signage with dusk-to-dawn lighting. The recreation building stayed open during phased interior work, and field programs shifted to nearby sites. Pride manages schedule, budget, workforce-inclusion goals, and youth design workshops that let neighborhood students shape the finished facility.
